The Maasai Mara Exhibit

Fashion designer Liang Mingyu, whose work was featured in the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, made the installation artwork entitled Maasai Mara that displays full-sized elephants made from recycled denim. She said  that she hopes it will raise awareness of not only wildlife conservation but also industrial water pollution. “

In addition to the elephants a fashion show also includes recycled denim

The blue-jean industry is a major source of water pollution and landfill contamination. Recycling discarded clothing can not only be fashionable but can help alleviate the toxic effects on groundwater.
